Biography

Deidra Moore is a woman grounded in grace, driven by purpose, and rooted in a lifelong commitment to legacy, sisterhood, and service. A devoted wife, nurturing mother, and servant leader, Deidra has spent her life cultivating hope and impact across every community she touches.

 As a seasoned registered nurse with thirty years of experience, Deidra has fought tirelessly for health equity, working alongside esteemed organizations like the March of Dimes and the Department of Family and Children Services, as well as various initiatives aimed at cancer awareness and research.​ A distinguished Silver Star member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Deidra is also a charter member of Psi Alpha Omega Chapter. Her leadership shines through her active engagement with the Southern Crescent Pearl Foundation, where she has successfully chaired initiatives such as Exquisite Pearls, HBCU for Life, and Membership.

 

As the current Vice President and Chair of Membership, she is passionately committed to creating transformative mentoring programs that empower and inspire her fellow members.​ Deidra’s fervor extends beyond her sorority. She is deeply invested in the sustainability of all Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). With roots in the Gaines family, founders of Morris Brown College—the first educational institution in Georgia operated entirely by African Americans in 1881—Deidra has upheld a legacy of philanthropy for HBCUs nationwide alongside her husband.​Moreover, as the Recruitment Chairman for the Atlanta Tuskegee Alumni Club, Deidra is at the forefront of initiatives to position metropolitan Atlanta as the premier choice for incoming freshmen at Tuskegee University.

 

Her influence also reaches into her role as the Technology Chair for the Tuskegee University National Nursing Alumni Association, where she leverages her expertise to enhance alumni engagement and strengthen connections. Deidra Moore's unwavering dedication to service, education, and community upliftment truly makes her an extraordinary leader and advocate in our society. She inspires others to follow her path of compassion and commitment, proving that one person can indeed make a significant difference.​Deidra possesses outstanding academic credentials, having earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Tuskegee University and a Master's in Business Administration with a focus on Health Service Management from Keller Graduate School of Management. Her career in the pharmaceutical industry underscores her unwavering commitment to enhancing health outcomes and providing exceptional care to others. 

 

In her personal life, Deidra embodies vitality and enthusiasm for fitness—whether she’s cycling on her Peloton, swimming, dancing, or practicing Pilates. Her dedication to her family shines through her steadfast support for her husband, Derick Moore, and their two children, Raven and Alex. Deidra’s diverse talents and contributions not only make her an inspiring leader but also a true beacon of hope in our community.
